Volunteering
Opportunities are available for adults and young people to volunteer and learn about an aspect of fish husbandry, horticulture, joinery or conservation. Individuals can attend site to pass on skills of their own to young people and others on site.
Volunteering
Volunteers are always welcome at ABLE as there is always lots to do. Depending on a person's needs we may suggest going through a supported placement before becoming a fully fledged volunteer. You can apply using our volunteer application form and we will be in contact as soon as possible to arrange a visit to the site. We generally ask for a contribution of a minimum 5 hours per week and in return we try to place the volunteer within their area of interest.
Supported Placements
Supported placements work well for young people and adults who want to come and experience work on a farm but lack the confidence or skills to come as independent volunteers. Each person is treated as an individual and work placements are tailored to interests and according to support needs. Get in touch to discuss this further.
