Hallo!, Ciao!, Salut!, Ahoj!, Szia!
The ABLE Project welcomed a group of 13 education professionals from 10 European countries for a day visit at the end of October 2010. The visitors enjoyed a tour and insights into some of the activities we use on site with our younger visitors.
The visit was organised through the Field Studies Council (http://www.field-studies-council.org) entitled ‘Effective biodiversity education through the outdoor classroom’. Among those in the group were teachers, ministry officers, managers and environmental educators working in a variety of settings in their home countries. The group all shared the goals of increasing the effectiveness and diversity of educational approaches, especially encouraging environmental awareness and stewardship. We were very lucky to spend the day with such an interesting group of people with a vast range of experiences and outlooks. We hope to keep in touch with them to continue to share our ideas and work.
